Small Business Lending
LIFT Community Action Agency provides commercial loans to residents in Choctaw, McCurtain and Pushmataha Counties for the purpose of securing capital for small business start-up or expansion. Customers can also receive small “credit builder” loans to help establish credit and build or improve credit scores. Loan amounts range from a thousand dollars to several thousand dollars, depending on type of loan, credit scores, collateral and other factors. Types of businesses funded cover a broad range from retail establishments to service industries. LIFT Community Action Agency’s loan programs operate in partnership with the following organizations/programs.
SBA Microloan Program
Under the SBA Microloan program, loans are for a maximum term of 72 months (6 years) with a fixed interest rate. Loan amounts are from $500-$50,000. Loan proceeds can be used for working capital, inventory, supplies, furniture, fixtures, machinery and/or equipment.
USDA RD Intermediary Relending Program
Under the IRP program, loan proceeds can be used for working capital, inventory, supplies, furniture, fixtures, machinery and/or equipment and can also be used for purchasing real estate. The loans cannot exceed 75% of the total project cost or a maximum of $150,000. Loan terms vary.
Revolving Loan Fund
LIFT CAA also has a Revolving Loan Fund funded through KEDDO and NeighborWorks with a goal of job creation and economic development.
Eligibility requirements for all loans include reasonable collateral, personal guarantee of owner and meeting credit and other underwriting guidelines. Some restrictions apply with commercial lending. Please contact our business lending department for more information.
Business Technical Assistance
In conjunction with our commercial lending program, LIFT Community Action Agency also offers both pre- and post-loan business technical assistance. Technical assistance includes assistance with business plans, marketing, management, business counseling and training.
