LIFT CAA proudly operates a number of programs directed specifically towards the provision of services that will improve health and well-being of vulnerable populations. Services range from educating childcare providers about child nutrition to assisting individuals with shopping for health insurance. These programs seek to improve lives, advocate for victims, and address the need for emergency, transportation and social services. Check out the links below to learn more about each program!

DFC

The Choctaw County Drug Free Communities Support Program (DFC) works to establish and strengthen collaboration among community partners in order to support the efforts of the Choctaw County Coalition to prevent and reduce substance use among youth.

Emergency & Social Services

LIFT CAA operates as the service unit for the Salvation Army in the tri-county area by raising funds for utility assistance through the Red Kettle Campaign. Additionally, the Emergency Food and Shelter program provides support to families during unexpected emergencies.

Opioid Response Project

 The project specifically aims to address the systemic needs of the opioid epidemic. The Planning Grant project encourages partnerships with community members and their organizations to start informative dialogues, build partnerships and plan systemic changes to prevention, treatment and recover of individuals affected by this epidemic.

Safe Place Healing Hearts

Safe Place Healing Hearts seeks to enhance the safety of rural victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking; and to enhance collaboration and build capacity of service providers to appropriately respond, improve the rate of prosecution, coordinate service delivery, and assist victims in cases of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.

Second Chance Re-Entry Program

The TriCounty Second Chance ReEntry Program is designed to help formerly incarcerated individuals find employment, housing, substance abuse treatment, counseling, community support as well as helping to learn skills and continuing education.

Victim Advocacy

Since 2015, LIFT CAA’s Victim Advocacy Services has delivered services and assistance to victims and their families in order to meet their emotional/mental health and physical needs, as well as ensure victim safety and security. Staff and volunteers promote victim, provider and community awareness of crime victims’ services, rights and resources available throughout the tri-county area.
