In 1968, three seperate Community Action Agencies in Southeast Oklahoma merged to form LIFT Community Action Agency, in order to better meet the needs of the residents of Southeast Oklahoma. Since conception, LIFT CAA has progressively grown, adding new programs and services to meet the needs of the area, especially its most vulnerable populations.
In 1971, LIFT CAA had an annual budget of $607,583. Today the agency’s current budget is close to $22 million. We are so thankful for the support and collaboration we have received from our communities.
Thank you to our dedicated staff that strive everyday to eradicate and alleviate poverty. It’s been a wonderful 51 years and here’s to many more!
